摘要
ChatGPT能够在MTPE模式中扮演机器翻译的角色.本文以机械工程术语为例,梳理ChatGPT的四种术语翻译错误,即"无法识别术语形态、无法判断术语语义、无法使用规范译名和无法使用惯用译名",并提出术语译后编辑的"准确性""一致性、规范性和惯用性"原则,旨在有助于更好地提升ChatGPT译后编辑的质量.
Abstract
This paper explores the possibility of using ChatGPT as a machine translation tool in MTPE(Ma-chine Translation Post-Editing)mode.The focus of the analysis is on four types of translation errors frequently encountered when using ChatGPT:term recognition,term interpretation,the use of standardized terms,and the use of idiomatic expressions.To address these errors and enhance the quality of machine translation,the author proposes four principles for post-editing:accuracy,consistency,standardization,and idiomaticity.By adhering to these principles during the post-editing process,it is believed that the overall quality of machine translation output can be significantly improved.
