An Analysis of Post-editing Strategies for Cross-border E-commerce English Translation
Machine translation combined with post-editing,facilitated by human-computer interaction,has e-merged as the dominant approach in the language service industry.Nonetheless,the absence of theoretical guid-ance often leaves post-editors perplexed when encountering different machine translation errors,leading to a de-cline in the quality of post-edited output.This paper aims to address this issue by integrating translation shift theory into the post-editing process.Specifically,the study explores a novel avenue for machine translation post-editing in the context of cross-border e-commerce.By incorporating translation shift theory into the post-editing workflow,the paper proposes a theoretical framework that can guide post-editors in improving the quality of ma-chine-translated texts.This research contributes to the development of effective post-editing practices and pro-vides valuable insights for the language service industry,particularly in the realm of cross-border e-commerce.
