摘要
专业术语的翻译是气象科技文献汉译英工作的关键.本文基于气象科技文献汉译英的长期实践经验,总结了做好其专业术语英译的六项原则,并通过翻译实例进行分析与阐释,以期为气象科技资料的汉译英提供有益的启发和参考.
Abstract
The rendering of professional terminologies is a key component of the Chinese-English translation of meteorological Sci.& Tech.literature.Based on the long-time practical experience in this type of applied trans-lation,six principles regarding the adequate rendering of the professional terminologies in meteorological Sci.&Tech.literature are summarized,which are illustrated through case analysis in order to offer a valuable reference for those engaged in the Chinese-English translation of meteorological Sci.& Tech.literature.
