Corpus-based Study of Ready Position as a Translation of Yubei Shi
This paper presents a corpus-based study of ready position as a translation of Yubei Shi denoting preparations in Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin involving frequency,collocation,cluster and close observation of corpus segments.Analysis proves ready position of inadequate appropriacy concerning its pragmatic features and effects.And preparation,instead,is tentatively suggested for future research on Ba Duan Jin terminology trans-lation.It is hoped to contribute to C-E translation of excellent Chinese traditional culture.
