Exploring the Reasons for the Geographical Distribution of Chinese Natural Science Translators in the Period of the Republic of China
The paper explores both static and dynamic geographical distribution of natural science translators in the Period of the Republic of China.The number of Chinese natural science translators reaches to 244 in this pe-riod.The places of the static distribution of these translators disperse among the three translation regions of Wuyue,Jingchu and Bashu.The places of the dynamic distribution of these translators are distributed in transla-tion areas of Wuyue,Yanzhao and Bashu.The regularity of natural science translators'distribution in this peri-od reveals that the situation of the knowledge center plays an important role in the convergence of natural science translators.
