摘要
地理信息系统(GIS)作为一门功能强大、综合性强、涉及领域广的交叉学科,是现代科技发展中不可或缺的空间信息处理工具.GIS词汇汉译是我国GIS研究与时俱进的重要手段之一.本文结合翻译实例,研究了 GIS英语的词汇特征,旨在探讨GIS词汇的翻译策略,以期为加强国际GIS技术的交流与合作提供参考.
Abstract
Geographic Information Systems(GIS)represent an essential,multidisciplinary science,serving as a crucial spatial information processing tool in the advancement of modern technology.The English-to-Chinese(E-C)translation of GIS terminology is pivotal for keeping Chinese GIS research current with global develop-ments.This paper analyzes the lexical characteristics of GIS English through translation examples,focusing on developing translation strategies for GIS vocabulary.The objective is to offer insights that enhance international GIS technology exchange and collaboration.
