文章介绍了港口工程术语的简洁化、抽象化和形象化三大特征,之后通过港口工程术语翻译案例分析阐述了异化和归化的翻译策略,探讨采取翻译策略的条件和效果.最后提出译者要以读者为中心采取恰当的翻译策略,从而为深化港航海事国际合作奠定基础.
Abstract
This paper highlights three key characteristics of port engineering terminology:conciseness,abstrac-tion,and visuality.Through case studies,the author demonstrates the translation strategies of foreignization and domestication,examining the conditions under which these strategies are applied and their respective impacts.The paper concludes with the assertion that translators should prioritize the reader's perspective when selecting appropriate translation strategies,thereby establishing a foundation for enhancing international cooperation in port,shipping,and maritime sectors.
