即兴发言中英同传的挑战与应对策略
Challenges and Coping Strategies in the Simultaneous Interpretation of Impromptu Chinese Speeches

摘要
即兴发言是同传译员面临的常见挑战之一.本文首先指出中文即兴发言中常出现句式结构松散、信息冗余、意思表达不完整等特征,继而结合实例提出译员可采取的梳理逻辑、整理句式,去除冗余、简化译文和跳出字面、脱离语言外壳等策略,以应对中文即兴发言给同传带来的挑战.
Abstract
Impromptu speech poses challenges to simultaneous interpreters.This article starts by outlining the characteristics of Chinese impromptu speeches,such as loose sentence structure,redundant information,and in-complete expression of meaning.Then,based on real-world examples,it proposes strategies for interpreters to deal with the challenges of impromptu speeches,including refining sentence structures,removing redundancies and breaking free from literal renditions.
