Research on the Impact of Peer Dual Carbon Policy Perception on Firm Innovation Performance
Science and technology innovation is the key support to achieve the goal of"Double Carbon",and how to fully mobilize the initiative of enterprise science and technology innovation has become an urgent problem to be solved. In this paper,we measured the peer perceptions of listed companies by the text econometric analysis, quantitatively analyzed the effect of peer perceptions on corporate innovation performance and explored the mechanism of this spillover effect. It is found that peer dual carbon policy perception can signif-icantly increase the R&D intensity, patent applications and patent acquisitions of firms. An important channel of this innovation promo-tion effect is the transmission of dual carbon policy perception between industries and firms.External policies, firm and industry charac-teristics are important moderator variables of this innovation promotion effect. The results of this paper verify that cohesive industry con-sensus on carbon reduction can fully mobilize the initiative of firms'scientific and technological reserves and point out that incentive poli-cies and the strategy of giving subsidies to special industries are crucial.
