Technology transfer from U.S.federal agencies has played an important role in maintaining the competitiveness of U.S.science and technology innovation in the long term.This study obtains a more comprehensive and systematic understanding of the organization,management and operation mechanism of federal technology transfer in United States from three perspectives:legal sup-port,government coordination mechanism and annual report of federal technology transfer.Through further analysis of the trend of feder-al technology transfer,it is found that the traditional technology transfer method is not suitable for promoting the commercialization of new technologies,and many new changes have quietly taken place in the organization of federal technology transfer in United States in recent years.
