This paper uses the 2018 China Supply Chain Innovation and Application Pilot as a quasi natural experiment for the applica-tion of supply chain digital innovation, constructs a DID model with data from listed enterprises in China, and empirically analyzes the impact of digital innovation applications in supply chains on enterprise performance growth and volatility. The empirical results show that the application of digital innovation in enterprise supply chains significantly promotes enterprise performance growth and effectively re-duces the risk of performance volatility. The introduction of interaction terms between annual variables and experimental variables reveals that the impact of digital innovation applications in supply chains on enterprise performance has long-term effects.Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the impact of digital innovation applications in supply chains on enterprise performance growth and volatility is more signif-icant in manufacturing, diversified supply chain configurations, and labor-intensive industries.Mechanism testing shows that digital in-novation applications in supply chains promotes enterprise performance growth and reduces volatility by lowering financing constraints, inventory costs, and management costs. The application of digital innovation in supply chains facilitates resource complementarity and information exchange among upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, providing important insights for promoting high-quality development of Chinese enterprises.
