Microscopic simulation of the migration law of remaining oil reuse after shut-in of high water cut wells in fault block reservoirs
Based on the microscopic visual lithography glass model, the remaining oil reuse and migration law of a high water cut fault block reservoir was studied both qualitatively and quantitatively from the microscopic perspective, and the influencing factors were analyzed. The research results show that the remaining oil reuse types during well shut-in at the end of water flooding are mainly drop, column and cluster.During the shut-in period, the remaining oil will migrate and accumulate to a high position along the model tilt direction, which is beneficial to further improving the oil displacement efficiency in the subsequent water flooding stage. The increase in the formation dip angle and the decrease in crude oil viscosity are beneficial to the remaining oil reuse, and the increasing of well shut-in time is conducive to the accumulation of remaining oil toward the high part of the production end.More-over,the increase of the injection rate in the subsequent water flooding stage results in elevated swept area.
