Mechanical performances of dual-lintel-column joint of steel and concrete in Chinese pseudo-classic architecture
Aiming at the poor seismic behavior of the di-dual-lintel-column joint of pseudo-classic architectures,a new kind of damp-ing joint was developed by installing viscous dampers on the dual-lintel-column joints in traditional style architecture to enhance the anti-seismic property.In the study of the mechanical property,four specimens were tested under sin wave dynamic cyclic loading,including one lintel-column joint compared specimen and three di-dual-lintel-column joint,and two of them were joints with viscous damper,and one of them has no viscous damper installed and was for comparison.The whole process of failure characteristics,the failure mode,and the steel strain change law were analyzed.The mechanical properties such as the characteristic curve of restoring force,skeleton curve,and bearing capacity were analyzed.The results indicate that the mechanical behavior of pseudo-classic archi-tecture di-dual-lintel-column joint with viscous damper are improved.The hysteretic curve of the damping joint is plumper,the ulti-mate bearing capacity of di-dual-lintel-column joint are increased by 16.4%-18.1%,and the displacement ductility are increased by 13.5%-15.0%.The descending phase of skeleton curves gets smoother.
