Study on bearing performance of new T-P shear connectors
In order to strengthen the shear load bearing performance of shear connectors, new quasi T-shaped T-P shear-resistant connectors were designed via welding of a parallel steel plate at the end of the traditional PBL opening steel plate. The effects of four variables under the control of steel bars, cavities, concrete strength, and addition of steel plate length were considered, and the results were compared with those of the traditional PBL.It is found that the T-P shear connectors have better shear rigidity and shear carriers than PBL connectors.Shear-resistant load-bearing performance of the T-P connector at the nearby position of the steel plate distance is more better than the T-P connector at the nearby position. The deformation capacity of the T-P connector is weaker than the PBL connector. The results of the parameters show that the increased length of the steel plate through the steel bars, the increased length of the end plate, and the improvement in the strength of the concrete can significantly increase the T-P anti-shelter bearing capacity.Increasing the number of holes can slightly increase its shear bearing capacity. The stress distribution of the T-P connector near the loading point of the steel plate is more decentralized and smaller, and the deformation degree is smaller. The shear stiffness and the deformation ability of the T-P connector can both be improved.
