Paper-linked data collection and sharing models of Chinese social science journals
[Purposes]Learning from international advanced experience, this paper proposes a systematic model for the paper-linked data collection and sharing of social science journals with consideration to China's national conditions and research characteristics in social sciences, aiming to provide reference for related work.[Methods]We employed expert consultation, paper review, and online survey to summarize and compare the processes and elements of paper-linked data collection and sharing of representative journal papers at home and abroad.[Findings]A model for the paper-linked data collection and sharing of Chinese social science journals was established from four aspects:data generation, management, and collection, review of data form and content, data sharing, and data reuse.[Conclusions]According to the practice of the model,we put forward the following suggestions:expanding the definition scope of paper-linked data, introducing policies for paper-linked data collection and sharing that are in line with the characteristics of social science research, introducing multi-mode paper-linked data collection and review methods, and clarifying the specifications for data sharing.
