Analysis of resource elements and matching index system construction of scientific journals
[Purposes]This paper analyzes the current situation of resource allocation in scientific journals from the perspective of reasonable resource allocation, proposes the index system of resource matching in scientific journals, and suggests the method of resource matching optimization based on PDCA Cycle theory.[Methods]By integrating the PEST analysis method with classical value chain theory, combining external environmental factors and internal environmental elements that impact the development of scientific journals, and employing literature review and expert consultation,we summarized and organized the resource elements of scientific journals in China, and constructed an index system for resource matching in scientific journals.[Findings]Starting with external influences such as politics, economy, society, and technology, and comprehensively considering the value chain elements of scientific journals'development,a resource matching index system for scientific journals is constructed, consisting of 5 primary indicators,18 secondary indicators, and 55 tertiary indicators.[Conclusions]With target values as a guide, scientific journals conduct matching analysis in terms of operational mechanisms, talent teams, technical capabilities, content, and services.Through continuous improvements following the PDCA Cycle, key internal and external factors constraining the development of scientific journals can be identified, optimizing the allocation of resources within scientific journals to promote their high-quality development.
