During the Qing dynasty,the period of severe climate change,floods and droughts became more frequent.The"sacrifice for disaster relief"is an important measure to respond to disasters based on the Chinese philosophical tradition of"unity of heaven and man",with the participation of emperors and the leadership of the state.The Taisui sacrifices"at the Beijing Xiannongtan were the most representative sacrificial activity.The disaster prevention measures of the Qing dynasty underwent unique changes.In addition to expressing the emperor's prayers for rain and drought relief in a ceremonial way,as well as the function of comforting the people's hearts,the"sacrifice for disaster relief"also promoted and influenced the"comprehensive implementation"of the government's disaster relief functions.
