A Historical Review of the Development of the Meteorological Science and Technology System in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China
During the Ming and Qing dynasties,a large number of western modern meteorological science and technology were introduced into China,which promoted the development of modern meteorology in China.At the beginning of the Republic of China,the government established a professional meteorological management department,which set up a platform for the development of the meteorological cause.By studying,imitating and innovating,meteorology professionals set up a nationwide network of meteorological stations and established corresponding observation standards to train a number of early professionals specializing in meteorolgocial science and technology.The system of modern meteorolog was initially formed.
