An Empirical Study on the Impact of Teacher Feedback on College Students'Academic Achievement
Teacher feedback has various forms,yet the extent to which it enhances college students'academic performance remains unclear.This study employs a mixed-methods approach,combining both quantitative and qualitative research,to investigate the effects of different types of teacher feedback on college students'academic achievements.The results show that encouraging and constructive feedback significantly improve students'academic performance,while targeted and immediate feedback exhibit a notably negative influence.Personalized feedback has not fully realized its potential benefits due to its limited application frequency.Teacher feedback exerts heterogeneous effects on students'academic performance depending on their varying levels of receptiveness.Based on these findings,it is recommended that college educators emphasize the use of positive and encouraging feedback,provide targeted and immediate feedback in moderation,increase the frequency of personalized feedback,and tailor feedback appropriately according to students'differing levels of acceptance.
