International Developments and Implications in the Assessment of Social-Emotional Competence
Cultivating students'social-emotional competence has become a major trend in global educational development.Strong social-emotional competence contributes not only to individual student growth but also to societal harmony and stability.Nevertheless,how to effectively assess it still requires further in-depth exploration.This paper systematically reviews the theoretical models and assessment frameworks of social-emotional competence at the international level.It analyzes the current assessment methods and offers insights for research on assessing students'social-emotional competence in China,including designing dynamic and diversified assessment systems to capture the development of students'social-emotional competence comprehensively,innovating assessment methods based on new technologies to meet the needs of assessment model reform,and localizing and contextualizing assessment models to align with the cultural background and practical needs of Chinese students.
