The First Forum on Education Examination and Evaluation Reform,hosted by the China Institute of Education and Social Development at Beijing Normal University,was held in Beijing on November 18-19,2024.The forum's theme was"Deepening the Reform of Examination and Evaluation to Serve the Construction of an Educational Powerhouse".Key events included the unveiling ceremony of the Research Center for Education Examination and Evaluation Capacity Building,keynote speeches by invited guests,and four sub-forums addressing various aspects of education examination and evaluation.Discussions centered on enhancing examination and evaluation capacity,selecting and nurturing top-notch innovative talents,implementing comprehensive quality evaluations,reforming test design based on core competencies,and exploring the development trends in education examination and evaluation technologies.The forum was characterized by clear themes and rich content,contributing significantly to the ongoing reform of education evaluation and supporting the construction of an educational powerhouse.Over 300 representatives from the education sector nationwide,including experts,scholars,industry leaders,and relevant practitioners,participated in the event.
