Pharmacodynamics and metabonomics of Qingfei decoction in treating acute pharyngitis model rats
Objective To study the pharmacodynamic effect of Qingfei decoction on acute pharyngitis rats and clarify its mechanism. Methods Based on the efficacy test of Qingfei decoction in treating acute pharyngitis induced by ammonia water in rats, the potential biomarkers of Qingfei decoction in treating acute pharyngitis induced by ammonia water in rats were screened by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS metabonomics technology combined with multivariate data statistics, and the related metabolic pathways were further analyzed. Results The results of the blood routine, serum inflammatory factors, and pathological section showed that Qingfei decoction had a good therapeutic effect on acute pharyngitis induced by ammonia water in rats.Ten endogenous biomarkers of Qingfei decoction in the treatment of acute pharyngitis were screened out by serum metabonomics, which may play a role through four important metabolic pathways:Taurine and hypotaurine metabolism, primary bile acid biosynthesis, valine, leucine and isoleucine degradation, and pyrimidine metabolism. Conclusion Qingfei decoction has the effect of treating acute pharyngitis, and the possible mechanisms are regulation of taurine and hypotaurine metabolism, biosynthesis of primary bile acids, degradation of valine, leucine and isoleucine, and pyrimidine metabolism, which provide references for further clinical application of this medicine.
