Composition of isolated strain and drug susceptibility analysis of midstream urine infection in different populations in Shandong Province from 2017 to 2022
Objective This study understood the composition of the isolated strain, drug resistance, and age difference of middle urine samples in Shandong Province, and provide a reference for the selection of antibacterial agents based on early clinical experience with urinary tract infection. Methods WHONET5.6 analysis software was used to retrospectively analyze the isolated strain of midstream urine samples reported by members of the Shandong Province Pediatric Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System(SPARSS)network in Shandong from 2017 to 2022 and the results of drug susceptibility to the main pathogens. Results A total of 143955 isolates were isolated.Gram-negative bacteria and Candida albicans were the main isolates.Age stratified analysis showed that the distribution of bacteria in the children group and the adults group was significantly different(x2=509.4,P<0.0001).The top two pathogens isolated from the children's group were Escherichia coli and Enterococcus faecium, while the top two pathogens isolated from the adults'group were E.coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. In both children's and adults'groups, the bacterial isolation rate in women was higher than that in men.The drug resistance rates of carbapenem-resistant E.coli and K.pneumoniae accounted for 1.7%and 5.7%,respectively.The drug resistance rates of the most tested antibacterial strains in the children's group were higher than those in the adults'group. Conclusion The distribution of isolated bacteria in midstream urine in different populations in Shandong Province was different, and different isolates had great differences in drug resistance to various antibiotics. Therefore, monitoring the distribution and drug resistance of isolated bacteria in different populations is very important to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment and guide clinically rational drug use.
