A dataset of soil wind erosion in the Yellow River Basin from 2000 to 2018
The national strategy of"Ecological Protection and High-quality Development of the Yellow River Basin"has gained increased prominence, with growing attention on food security and ecological security caused by soil erosion. It is of great scientific significance to evaluate the temporal and spatial evolution of soil wind erosion for improving the regional ecological environment and promoting sustainable development. This dataset compiles the data on the annual soil wind erosion modulus in the Yellow River Basin from 2000 to 2018.In this study,we combined ground investigation with revised soil wind erosion equation(RWEQ)to measure the soil wind erosion. We have comprehensively considered various factors influencing soil wind erosion, localized the data, and measured the amount of soil wind erosion in the Yellow River Basin in combination with vegetation factors. The assessment results have been validated based on the 137Cs survey, demonstrating a significant correlation between the simulation results and the field survey data. This dataset captures the temporal and spatial changes of soil wind erosion in the Yellow River Basin since 2000.It can offer insights into regional land degradation dynamics and the evaluation of the effectiveness of ecological engineering measures.
