Objective:To explore the influence of phubbing on social mentality of college students and its mechanism.Methods:1926 college students were investigated by Phubbing Scale,Social Support Scale,Gratitude Scale and Chinese Social Mentality Scale.Results:(1)After controlling for gender,family location and subjective socioeconomic status,phub-bing significantly negatively affected the social mentality of college students;(2)When social support was included as the mediating variable,phubbing still significantly negatively affected their social mentality,and social support played a partial mediating role;(3)Gratitude moderates the latter half of the mediating path of"phubbing → social support → social mentali-ty".Conclusion:College students'phubbing affects their social mentality by influencing social support.High level of grati-tude can strengthen the positive influence of social support on college students'social mentality.
