The Relationship between Coparenting and Children's Behavior Problems:A Serial Mediation Model
Objective:To explore the relationship between coparenting,parental marital conflict,parent-child relation-ship and children's behavior problems.Methods:One-year longitudinal study was conducted on 157 preschoolers in this study.Mothers finished the Parents'Perceptions of the Coparenting Relationship Questionnaire,Children Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire,Marital Conflict Questionnaire and Parent-child Relationship Scale.Results:①Coparenting was significantly correlated with marital conflict,parent-child relationship and children's behavior problems.②Coparent-ing directly influenced children's behavior problems,and it also influenced children's behavior problems through parental marital conflict and parent-child relationship.Conclusion:Parental marital conflict and parent-child relationship play a chain mediating role in the relationship between coparenting and children's behavior problems.
