Longitudinal Invariance of Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form in College Students
Objective:To examine the longitudinal measurement invariance of the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form(CTQ-SF)in Chinese college students. Methods:A total of 583 university students completed the CTQ-SF,Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D),and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)twice with one-month in-terval.Results:(1)The five-factor structure of CTQ-SF fitted well both the data at T1 and T2,and the configural, metric, scalar, strict invariance and latent mean invariance of the five-factor across two time points were all acceptable.(2)The Cronbach'α of CTQ-SF at T1 and T2 were 0.83 and 0.88,and McDonald's omega of CTQ-SF at T1 and T2 were 0.88 and 0.91.Intraclass correlation efficient of CTQ-SF at T1 and T2 was 0.62.(3)Paired t-test showed that there were no signifi-cant differences between T1 and T2 of the CTQ-SF scores of subjects(P>0.05).And the scores of CTQ-SF at T1 and T2 showed significant positive correlation with CES-D and SAS scores at the same time point(r=0.345~0.730,P<0.01).Con-clusion:The five-factor structure of CTQ-SF has good longitudinal measurement invariance in Chinese college students, supporting the use of CTQ-SF to assess childhood traumatic experiences in adults.
