Self-efficacy and College Students'Internet Addiction:The Mediating Role of Self-control
Objective:This study aimed to explore the relationship between college students'self-efficacy and Internet addiction and the mediating role of self-control.Methods:The general self-efficacy,self-control and Internet addiction scales were used to investigate 321 college students.Results:College students'self-efficacy was negatively correlated with Internet addiction.Internet addiction was negatively correlated with self-control.Self-efficacy was positively correlated with self-control.Self-control played a fully mediating role between self-efficacy and Internet addiction.Conclusion:Col-lege students'self-efficacy can negatively predict the degree of Internet addiction.Self-efficacy reduces the risk of Inter-net addiction by improving the level of self-control.
