Reciprocal Relations Between Belief in a Just World and Health Promoting Lifestyles among Secondary Vocational Students:A Longitudinal Study
Objective:To investigate the reciprocal relations between belief in a just world and health promoting life-styles among Chinese secondary vocational students.Methods:A total of 141 vocational high school students(47.52%fe-male)completed belief in a just world,health promoting lifestyle measures,and provided information on their demograph-ics,including gender,grade,family structure for 3 times over a period of 1 years.Results:(1)Belief in a just world and health promoting lifestyles were significantly and positively correlated in all three measures;(2)Cross-lagged analysis re-vealed that belief in a just world at T1 significantly and positively predicted health promoting lifestyles at T2,and health promoting lifestyles at T2 significantly and positively predicted belief in a just world at T3 after controlling for gender,grade,and family structure.Conclusion:There were positive circular relations between belief in a just world and health promoting lifestyles among Chinese secondary vocational students.
