The Relationship between College Students'Social Network Sites Use and Friendship Quality:The Mediating Role of Online Positive Feedback and Social Self-efficacy
Objective:To explore the relationship between college students'social network sites,online positive feed-back,social self-efficacy and friendship quality.Methods:The participants were 687 college students,and four question-naires were used in this study:Active Social Network Use Questionnaire,Online Positive Feedback Scale,Social self-effica-cy Scale and Friendship Quality Questionnaire.Results:①Social network sites,online positive feedback,social self-effica-cy and friendship quality were significantly positively correlated;②Social network sites not only directly had a positive pre-dictive effect on friendship quality,but also indirectly affected the friendship quality of college students through online posi-tive feedback,social self-efficacy as a separate intermediary,and online positive feedback and social self-efficacy as a chain intermediary.Conclusion:The study reveals the mediating mechanism between online positive feedback and social self-efficacy in the relationship between social network sites and college students'friendship quality,which has some refer-ence and enlightenment for correctly guiding college students to reasonably use social networking sites to develop good friendship relationships.
