The Impact of Father's Co-Parenting on the Friendship Quality among Primary School Students:the Chain Mediating Effect of Father-Child Attachment and Emotional Regulation Ability
Objective:To investigate the impact of father's co-parenting on the friendship quality among primary school students,and to explore the chain mediating role of father-child attachment and emotional regulation.Methods:A total of 809 students from two primary schools in a central province were surveyed with the Adolescence Revision of Copar-enting Scale,Child Attachment Scale,Adolescent Emotional Regulation Ability and Friendship Quality Questionnaire.Re-sults:There was a significant correlation between father's co-parenting,father-child attachment,emotional regulation abil-ity,and friendship quality.The mediating role of father-child attachment and emotional regulation ability was significant,and the chain mediating effect of father-child attachment and emotional regulation was also significant.Conclusion:The father's co-parenting can not only directly affect the friendship quality of primary school students,but also indirectly affect the friendship quality of primary school students through the father-child attachment and children's emotional regulation ability.
