Effects of Sharing-Cooperation Group Social Intervention to Improve Prosocial Behavior in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Objective:To explore the effects of sharing-cooperation group social intervention model on enhancing proso-cial behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD).Methods:A stepwise progressive structured intervention program was designed based on the social game framework and cooperative learning theory.The intervention group and the active control group received group social intervention every other day.20 ASD children were in the intervention group,with sharing and cooperation as the theme,lasting 18 times,60 minutes each time;17 ASD children were in the active con-trol group,pretend play as the theme,lasting 16 times,70 minutes each time.The total intervention time of the two groups was similar.Results:The intervention group showed a significant reduction in externalizing problems,a significant in-crease in social competence,and a significant increase in the level of prosocial behavior,sharing and cooperation in the in-action phase,while the control group showed no significant improvement in the above aspects.Conclusion:Group social in-tervention focused on sharing and cooperation can increase the level of prosocial behavior in children with ASD and im-prove externalizing problems.
