Objective:Using the actor-partner interdependence model, the current study examined the association be-tween parental work-family conflict and parent-child relationship, and further explored the mediating role of parental burn-out.Methods:A total of 283 pairs of parents of 3~6-year-old children were asked to complete the work-family conflict scale, the parenting burnout scale, and the child-parent relationship scale.Results:(1)The work-family conflict of each parent could significantly predict their own parent-child relationship, but could not significantly predict the parent-child relationship of their partner. And parent's own burnout could mediate the relation between work-family conflict and parent-child relationship.(2)In terms of the actor effect, parents'respective work-family conflicts could significantly positively predict their own parental burnout, and parental burnout could significantly negatively predict their own parent-child rela-tionship.(3)In terms of partner effect, mother's work-family conflict could significantly positively predict father's parental burnout, but father's work-family conflict could not significantly positively predict mother's parental burnout.Conclu-sion:The actor effect between parental work-family conflict and parent-child relationship is significant, and parental burn-out plays a mediating role in the father's partner effect.
