Preliminary Application of Online Risk Exposure Scale in Chinese Adolescents
Objective:To test the reliability and validity of online risk exposure scale among adolescents, and to prelimi-narily examine the general status of adolescents'online risk exposure. Methods:A total of 1747 middle school students from 6 schools were investigated.802 students(sample 1)were tested with online risk exposure scale in the first survey, and 945 students(sample 2)were tested with online risk exposure scale, depression scale, insomnia severity index scale, general anxiety disorder scale and online game addiction scale in the second survey. After 4 weeks,221 students were selected from sample 2 to carry out repeated tests. Results:The discrimination of each item in the online risk exposure scale was above 0.3.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 4 factors, with a cumulative variance explanation rate of 66.26%.Confirmatory fac-tor analysis(x2/df=5.24,RMSEA=0.07,TLI=0.93,CFI=0.94,IFI=0.94,NFI=0.93)showed that the four-factor structure is good. The Cronbach's α reliability of the total questionnaire was 0.90,and the test-retest reliability was 0.57.Online risk exposure was positively correlated with depression(r=0.42,P<0.01),anxiety(r=0.40,P<0.01),insomnia(r=0.39,P<0.01)and online game addiction(r=0.37,P<0.0l).The incidence of online risk exposure within one year was 80.63%.The inci-dence of online sexual solicitation for girls was significantly lower than that of boys, but the incidence of exposure to explicit content was significantly higher than that of boys. Conclusion:The Chinese version of online risk exposure scale can be used to measure adolescents'online risk exposure status.
