Clinical study on different methods to treat multiple small polyps of colon
Objective To compare the clinical value of heat trap polypectomy(HSP),cold trap polypectomy(CSP)and submucosal injection cold trap polypectomy(CS-EMR)in the treatment of multiple small polyps of colon. Methods This study was a retrospective analysis,450 patients with colon polyps who underwent colon polypectomy from October 2021 to August 2022 in the Department of Gastroenterology of Affilated Hospital of Inner Mongdia Medical University as the research object. They were divided into three groups according to different surgical schemes, namely CSP group(n=150),HSP group(n=150)and CS-EMR group(n=150).HSP group performed HSP,CSP group performed CSP,and CS-EMR group performed CS-EMR.The baseline data, the general situation of operation and the basic characteristics of polyps were compared. Results There was no significant difference in baseline data and basic characteristics of polyps among the three groups(P>0.05).The polypectomy time in CSP group was less than that in<CS-EMR group and<HSP group(P<0.05).The number of hemostatic clips used in HSP group was lower than that in CSP group and CS-EMR group(P<0.05).The complete resection rate of polyps in CSP group was lower than that in CS-EMR group and HSP group(P<0.05).The bleeding rate in HSP group and CS-EMR group was lower than that in CSP group(P<0.05).The rate of delayed bleeding in HSP group was higher than that in CSP group and CS-EMR group(P<0.05).Conclusion CSP,HSP and CS-EMR were all effective schemes for the treatment of multiple small polyps in colon. The bleeding rate during CSP was high, the complete resection rate of polyps was low,the delayed bleeding rate of HSP was high, the complete resection rate of polyps in CS-EMR was high, and the bleeding rate during operation and the delayed bleeding rate were low.
