Construction and practice of service model for traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical of"Internet plus Clinical Pharmacy"
AIM To explore the mode of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)pharmaceutical service of"Internet plus Clinical Pharmacy",aiming to improve TCM pharmaceutical service quality.METHODS Since 2022,a patient-centered"Internet plus Clinical Pharmacy"pharmaceutical service model had been developed and implemented,featuring TCM clinical pharmacy and smart TCM as its 2 main components.A review of 3 600 TCM prescriptions from January 2021 to March 2023 was conducted to evaluate patient satisfaction with the pharmaceutical service model of"Internet plus Clinical Pharmacy",prescription abandonment rate,prescription delivery volume,and external error rates.RESULTS The rate of inappropriate prescriptions in 2022 and 2023 showed statistically significant decreases compared to 2021(P<0.01).Patient overall satisfaction reached 96.02%.The prescription abandonment rate for TCM in 2023 was 0.26%,and the volume of TCM prescriptions delivered in 2023 increased by 53.68%compared to 2022.The external error rate of dispensing decreased from 7 cases in 2021 to 0 in 2023.CONCLUSION The"Internet plus Clinical Pharmacy"TCM pharmaceutical service model can improve the quality of Chinese medicine service,increase patient satisfaction,and enhance the value of Chinese pharmacists in the Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment process.
