AIM To investigate the status of 8 antitumor injections of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the clinic and further analyze their characteristics and trends.METHODS The clinical use information of 8 antitumor TCM injections from 2019 to 2023 was collected from 12 hospitals in Zhejiang Province.Subsequently,statistical analysis was conducted on the evaluation of drug utilization,off-label use and adverse reactions.RESULTS From 2019 to 2023,the sales revenue of 8 antitumor TCM injections decreased by 69.74%in 12 hospitals of Zhejiang province,with an average daily drug cost(DDC)decrease of 43.80%.The proportion of varieties with drug utilization index(DUI)values within the standard range(0.80-1.20)increased by 38.09%.The off-label drug use was generally good,mainly involving the mismatch between the indication and dosage.Adverse reaction events were mainly mild to moderate,accounting for 80.12%.The incidences of respiratory,skin,and systemic reactions were relatively high,with rates of 28.34%,20.32%,and 20.77%,respectively.CONCLUSION From 2019 to 2023,the consumption structure,as well as the risk prevention of antitumor TCM injections in 12 hospitals of Zhejiang Province were rationally adjusted,which improved the clinical application,economy and safety of these TCM injections.
