Separation and Functionalities of Anthocyanins from Vaccinium vitis-idaea
In this experiment, purified extracts of Vaccinium vitis-idaea with the method of tracking activity, and determine the main anthocyanin composition by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry techniques. First, enrichment and separation of acetone extracts of Vaccinium vitis-idaea by macroporous resin X-5, and determine the effective components of alcohol gradient by the phenolic contentation and scavenging activity of ABTS radical, and named LB-1, LB-2, LB-3, LB-4, the total eluate named LBMIX. The inhibition of HT29 colon cancer, Hela cervical cancer, A549 lung cancer, and HepG-2 liver cancer cell proliferation of five fractions were employed by MTT assay. The results showed that LB-MIX has a better inhibition of the four cancer cells proliferation activity.
