Studies on Vegetative Propagation in the Genus Lycoris
Genus Lycoris's natural propagation coefficient is low.An experiment of incising bulbs of Lycoris aurea and L.longituba,in Emei Mountain Biotic Resource Experimental Station, based on randomized blocks design, were arranged in order to study the effects of the plant growth regulators and the concentrations of these plant growth regulators on the quantity and weight of the bulblets. The results were as follows: ①Compared with natural propagation coefficient, the artificial propagation coefficient was much higher. The artificial propagation coefficient of Lycoris aurea was up to 21.15,and the treatment "6-BA 500" was best, with propagation coefficient 32.2;The artificial propagation coefficient of Lycoris longituba was 7.93,and the treatment "NAA 250" was best with propagation coefficient 12.9;②NAA and 6-BA both can promote propatation coefficient of L.aurea and L.longituba, and as the concentration of plant growth regulators to increase the propagation coefficient has a corresponding increase.GA3 inhibited the quantity of bulblets. The influence to propagation coefficient of NAA on L.aurea was significantly greater than on L.longituba.③According to these facts: propagation coefficient, the average weight and diameter of the bulblets, the root of the growing conditions,in the experiment, treatment "6-BA300" was the best for Lycoris aurea, and treatment "NAA250" was the best for Lycoris longituba.
