The Influence of Media on Cutting Propagation of Camellia chekiangoleosa
Cutting propagation is an important way to remain fine characters of garden plants,in order to select efficient cutting media at Huangshan distract for Camellia chekiangoleosa Hu,the article employed randomized block to study the influence of cutting media(yellow soil, sand and mixed media by vermiculite and perlite) on survival rate character of root and biomass composition. The results showed: there were some way difference on survival rate at different cutting media, but the different was not remarkable, and there some way difference on number of root per plant and length of root and the composition of biomass. The maximum number of root was observed at mixed media by vermiculite and perlite, the maximum length of root was observed at sand, and the maximum weight of root was observed at mixed media by vermiculite and perlite, therefore the influence on character of root at different media was different. The ratio of root to stem was largest at yellow soil.Generally yellow soil is a suitable cutting media for Camellia chekiangoleosa Hu cutting propagation at Huangshan disract.
