Effect of NaCl and Na2 SO4 on Germination and Growth of Physalis pubescens Seeds
Physalis pubescens seeds were treated with NaCl(0,50,100,150 and 200 mmol/L)and Na2 SO4(0,50,100,150 and 200 mmol/L)with different concentration gradients, and the effects of the two salt solutions on the germina-tion and growth of Physalis pubescens seeds were analyzed. The results showed that the two kinds of salt solutions with different concentrations inhibited the germination of Physalis pubescens seeds, and had significant effects on the physiological and biochemical indexes of leaves. When the concentration of salt solution increased, the inhibition effect on the germination rate and germination potential of seeds was stronger. And the inhibitory effect of Na2 SO4 salt solution was stronger than that of NaCl salt solution. With the increase of salt solution concentration, the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)decreased at first and then increased, while the contents of peroxidase(POD)and superox-ide dismutase(SOD)were basically the same, both showed a trend of increasing at first and then decreasing, but both were higher than those of the control group.
