Effect of ABT Rooting Powder on the Survival Rate of Ulmus pumila
Ulmus pumila is the main tree species for wind-break and sand-fixing afforestation and urban landscape greening in arid and semi-arid area of northwest inland river basin. In this experiment,Ulmus pumila was used as rootstock,ABT2 rooting powder was used to study the grafting of hard branch of Ulmus pumila with different con-centration and soaking time, the results showed that the best effect was obtained when the concentration of solution was 1 000~1 500 mg/kg and the treatment time was 10~15 min. When the scion shoots grew to 6~9 pieces, the survival rate of Ulmus pumila was increased,it can reduce the branching rate of new shoots, form a bigger crown and increase the commercial rate of seedlings.
