Effects of Different Altitudes on Growth and Yield of Camellia oleifera
Through the investigation of 10-year-old Camellia oleifera forests at different altitudes of 400,600,750 and 900 m.The results showed that the tree height growth rate of Camellia oleifera gradually decreased with the in-crease of altitude, the average tree height was 2.66 m at 300 m altitude, and the average tree height was 2.15 m at 900 m altitude, the average flowering plant rate of Camellia oleifera accounted for 63.33%at 300 m altitude, the av-erage flowering plant rate of Camellia oleifera accounted for 63.33%,the average flowering plant rate at 600 m alti-tude accounted for 43.33%,and the average flowering plant rate at 750 m altitude accounted for only 23.33%.At an altitude of 300m,the plant rate of Camellia oleifera accounted for 56.67%,at an altitude of 600 m,the plant rate of medium hanging fruit accounted for only 26.67%,and when the altitude reached 900m,the rate of medium-hanging fruit accounted for only 10%.The results concluded that the growth rate, flowering plant rate and hanging fruit plant rate of Camellia oleifera at an altitude of 300~600 m were the best, which was suitable for application in the pro-duction of Camellia oleifera.
