元前期"陕西五路西蜀四川"称谓考
Study on the Name of"Shaanxi Wulu Xishu Sichuan"in the early Yuan Dynasty

摘要
元前期文献中颇为常见的"陕西五路西蜀四川"称谓,系元人整合前代对陕西、四川两地的习称而成."陕西五路"与"西蜀四川"具有文字对仗关系,其中的"四川"应理解为四路.曾被前辈学者视为误称的"秦蜀五路四川"实则是"陕西五路西蜀四川"乃至"秦蜀九路"的另一种表述.这一称谓的产生,与元初陕西四川同属一个军政大区有关,使用时段也与这一大区的存续时间大致同步.这一称谓在元初全真道职官系统中也曾出现,时间较地方行政层面稍迟.
Abstract
Shanxi Wulu Xishu Sichuan(陕西五路西蜀四川)was a common geographical appellation in the early Yuan dynasty that represented the region included Shaanxi and Sichuan,which was reintegrated by the Yuan people who followed the previous generation's customary appellations of Shaanxi and Sichuan.Al-though it seemed to be mixed and repeated,in fact it is not.Shanxi Wulu and Xishu Sichuan actually implied a strict antithetical relation.Sichuan(四川)should be understood as Silu(四路).Qinshu Wulu Sichuan(秦蜀五路四川)that was regarded as a misnomer by previous scholars should be another expression of Shaanxi Wulu Xishu Sichuan and even"Qinshu Jiulu(秦蜀九路).The emergence of this geographical appel-lation was related to the fact that Shaanxi and Sichuan were belonged to the same military and political re-gion in the early Yuan Dynasty.And its using period was roughly synchronized with the existence of this re-gion.In addition,this name also appeared in the career system of Quanzhen Taoism(全真道)during the early Yuan Dynasty although it appeared slightly behind the regional administrative system.
