From January to March 1997,the Xi'an Institute of Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology and the School of History of Zhengzhou University carried out archaeological excavations at the Xiangjiaxiang site in Xi'an and unearthed a large number of Qin dynasty seals.Among them,613 seals were unearthed from H5,with a large number of intact ones,containing a wide variety including those of the Qin dynasty central and local officials,the forbidden gardens of the palace and private ones as well.They are valuable materials for the study of the Qin dynasty official system,the development of the administrative divisions and the geographic evolution of the political districts.
