In Huaihua City of Hunan, three goldware and silverware cellars were found at the Guadi production team of Tongdao County,Jiuxian Village of Mayang County, and Longjiabao Town in 1982,1986,and 1993 respectively.Authority collected a total of 64 pieces(sets)of gold and silverware, including 28 pieces of silverware from the late Tang dynasty to the Five dynasties in old county of Mayang, and 36 pieces of gold and silverware of the Ming and Qing dynasties in Guadi and Longjiabao. The three cellars are located along the river, and were buried in the era of chaos, indicating that the owners of the treasure were fleeing and hiding belongings. The findings are of important value to the historical study of the late Tang and the Five dynasties,as well as the Southern Ming dynasty.Since the information such as the excavation reports in the early years is sketchy, this paper re-examines the issues of dating, classification, and nomination on the basis of precise measurements and introduces some samples in detail.
