The Protective Effect of British Red Kidney Bean Antioxidant Peptides on Oxidatively Stressed Zebrafish
To investigate the in vivo antioxidant effect of British red kidney bean antioxidant peptide components(BRKBPAPC),an oxidative stress zebrafish model was established using 2,2'-azobis(isobutyl)amidine dihydro-chloride induction to investigate the effect of BRKBPAPC on oxidatively stressed zebrafish. The results indicated that BRKBPAPC significantly increased(P<0.05)the activity of catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD),gluta-thione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),and significantly decreased(P<0.05)the malondialdehyde(MDA)content in zebrafish,BRKBPAPC also had the ability to regulate zebrafish lipid metabo-lism,with the increase of treatment concentration zebrafish lipid metabolism index gradually restored to normal level;high dose of BRKBPAPC could make zebrafish behavior trajectory increased, the number of high-speed movement, time, distance significantly increased. At 21 d of high-dose antioxidant peptide treatment,CAT,SOD,T-AOC,and GSH-Px increased to(28.29±3.29),(126.59±6.39),(2.07±0.18),(84.75±7.77)U/mgprot,MDA content decreased to(3.35±0.29)nmol/mg prot, showing that BRKBPAPC had good in vivo antioxidant effect and lipid metabolism regulation ability.
