Effects of Variable Temperature Drying on Drying Characteristics and Quality of Paddy
In order to increase the drying rate and improve the quality of paddy after drying,the glass transition theory was applied to the drying process of paddy with variable temperature.The effects of initial moisture content,variable temperature range and hot air speed on drying rate and quality of paddy after drying(additional crack per-centage and head rice yield)were analyzed.The results indicated that,compared with the constant temperature dr-ying process,the rubber drying process with variable temperature had a higher drying rate,and the paddy quality was obviously improved after drying.The drying rate of the glass state with changing temperature process was the slowest,and the quality of paddy after drying was better than that of the rubber state with changing temperature drying process.Considering paddy drying rate and quality after drying,the rubber drying process with variable temperature can effectively improve the drying rate and post-drying quality of paddy.
