Research on Control Effect of Air-regulating Agent on Common Stored Grain Insect Pests Under Different Temperatures
By consuming oxygen in limited space,air-regulating agents have good control effect on pests. To investigate the control effect of air-regulating agent on stored grain pests under different temperatures, five kinds of stored grain pests were studied under 20,25,30 ℃,the relationship between mortality of pests and time in a 24 000 cm3 confined space with 100 g air-regulating agent. The results indicated that in the 24 000 cm3 confined space with 100 g air-regulating agent could reduce rapidly oxygen concentration to less than 0.5%in 3 days. With the de-crease of temperature, the mortality of the pests decreased, and the LT99 value increased obviously at low tempera-ture,indicating that the two kinds of borers had strong tolerance to low oxygen and low temperature.Under the same temperature, the tolerance of different pests to the low oxygen environment was different, the tolerance of Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky was the highest, and that of Oryzaephilus surinamensis(Linnaeus)was the lowest, the low oxy-gen tolerance of the five pests was as follows:Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky>Rhizopertha dominica(Fabricius)>Cryptolestes pusillus(Schönherr)>Tribolium castaneum(Herbst)>Oryzaephilus surinamensis(Linnaeus).
