Toxicity of Different Insecticides Against Booklice and Their Compounding and Combination Synergistic Effect
To scientifically guide the resistance management of booklice in storage, the contact toxicity of four types of grain protectants to five species of booklice was determined using petri dish film method.Additionally,we assessed the fumigation activity of eight plant essential oils against Liposcelis bostrychophila using the wide-mouth bottle fumigation method.Meanwhile, the synergistic effects of organophosphorus and pyrethroid insecticides, along with their combination with allyl isothiocyanate(AITC)essential oil, against booklice were evaluated. The results indicated that five species of booklice exhibited high sensitivity to malathion,pirimiphos-methyl,deltamethrin and beta-cypermethrin,with LD50 values ranging from 0.041 μg/cm2 to 0.977 μg/cm2,which could serve as the sensitive baseline.Fumigation test revealed that AITC exhibited excellent fumigant activity against booklice. The mixture of malathion and cypermethrin at a volume ratio of 4∶5 showed the optimal synergistic effect, while the combination of pirimiphos-methyl and beta-cypermethrin at a ratio of 2∶1 exhibited the optimal synergistic effect. In addition,AITC also exhibited a synergistic effect when combined with pirimiphos-methyl or beta-cypermethrin.
